Name: The Sword of Astingal Known As: Sword of the Heavens, Blade of Light Item Type: Bastard Sword Appearance: The Sword of Astingal is a master work with almost no markings on it save for five runes in the hilt of the blade. The base of the hilt is set with a fine pearl that no one has ever been able to pry away. History: The Sword Astingal is said to be one of the Seven Sister Swords of the Universe. Many believe the blade was commished by Ravenblade. The blade itself is the embodiment of Law and Good. Just like its kin-swords, The Sword of Astingal was insturmental in the birth of the Universe and no being of the Universe may wield the blade. In fact, Lords of the Higher Worlds fear the blade due to its power to harm them. Like the other Sister swords the The Sword of Astingal only makes itself known when there is great power in the Universe. The Sword of Astingal is a sentient being and has a mind and will of its own.
