Path of Fire

Purpose

The Path of Fire teaches its students to move quickly and take advantage of opportunities as they are presented.

History

The path of fire is the youngest of the elemental paths. It has flourished, but is on hard times now because of the fiery fist. They are having a hard time recruiting new followers.

Philosphy

Light and Heat are at the root of all things on earth. Without them every creature would die. By knowing the secrets of fire, one can control his destiny.

Joining

The character must withstand the test of fire by firewalking.

Membership in Path of Fire is exclusive. Members must also meet the following requirements:
Dexterity 13+

Secrets

The Path of Fire was once unwilling to teach techniques to anyone who followed another school. Now they teach their level one and two techniques to any who ask for them.

Level 1
Fire's Glow100The character can withstand temperatures up to 30% higher than normal with no discomfort.
Level 2
Fire's Friend200The character gains a +2 to all saves vs. Fire Attacks.
Fire's Touch200The character gains a +2 to set or start a fire and those trying to extinguish his fires take a -2 penalty.
Level 3
Fire Shield400The character gains DR 5 vs. Normal Fire.
Level 4
Flame Touch800The character can make his weapon leap into flames for 4 + 1d4 rounds once/day per five levels. This fire does +3 damage to normal creatures and is hot enough to start small fires on its own.
Level 5
Fire Bath1600The character can immolate himself once per day per five levels or fraction for 4 + 1d4 rounds. Anyone who attacks him with a melee weapon takes 1d6 + 1/level with a fortitude save for half.

Other Information

The Path of Fire has fallen into ill-repute because of the actions of the Fiery Fist, though there is no proof they are related.
