Way of Otter

Purpose

Students of the Way of Otter try to utilize the speed and agility of Otter in their daily life.

History

The origins of the Way of Otter are lost. They are known to have originated in Timor Plains, but the savages there kept no histories. It is believed by most that all other Paths and Ways were inspired by the original six of Timor Plains, but no one now knows which of those was first.

Philosphy

All animals have much to teach us, but Otter is the greatest of all.

Joining

The secrets of Otter are open only to the Children of Otter.

Membership in Way of Otter is exclusive. Members must also meet the following requirements:
Dexterity 13+

Secrets

Those who follow Otter will teach their Level 1 and 2 secrets to anyone who follows another animal Way. They will teach their level 1 secrets to those who follow a natural Way of any kind.

Level 1
Otter's Play100Dex 13+The character can recover from damage or fatigue at twice the normal rate.
Level 2
Otter's Dodge200The character can substitute his DEX bonus for his CON or WIS bonus on any saving throw.
Otter Speech200The character can speak with Otters
Level 3
Otter's Speed400The character gains 1d4+1 points of Dexterity for 6 rounds. This ability can be used once/day per point of natural dexterity bonus.
Level 4
Otter's Reflex800Otter's speed.The character gains the evasion Feat.
Otter Friend800Otter speechThe character can use animal friendship on a otter.
Level 5
Otter Shape1600The character can change from human to otter form 1/day per 5 levels. Changing back is free.

Other Information

Otter likes to banter with Fox and is always interested in outwitting him.
