???????
Cousin

The rumors of my demise have been greatly over-exaggerated. It seems strange because only a day has passed for me but for you and the rest of Aredal, it has been a year. After meeting with Agamar and agreeing to lead the forces in the attack on the Ogres, our group was transported to another plane. There we were needed to rescues three cities that were being attack. It wasn’t until later that we found out the Toglard had used his powerful magics to get us there. I fear that someone perverted his spell some how since the end results were not very beneficial.
During the process of rescuing the cities O was tragically killed, thou no one in our party were very upset. The only tragic part was the he took to his demise several powerful items. To make a long story short we rescued the cities then removed the leader of the opposition. Fortunately we were able to return and set to finding out what happened. At this moment we are heading to remove the Ogre threat. At the moment we are not revealing our true identities so please keep my return silent.

All goes well here in Toglardia. Toglard seems to have everything well in hand in the founding of his new country. While he does that we are on our way to the Wastelands to track down other items of power and follow a map found on the Daesiousions.
Towns and outpost along the border of the Great Waste have been attacked recently. Any warning that could be sent to our allies would be most benificial. As it is we had difficulty destroying the creatures we fought. They seemed to be vulnerable to fire and are preceded by a strange mist. My best advice would be to not tangle with them. we are not sure how far from the border the are stricking or where they are stricking from but we intend to find out.
We have done some research in the Tower and have uncovered some artifacts that might be of interest. There are 3 others that allow access to the Tower. We hope to collect these before the Amazons can get a hold of them.

Even though you won't be able able to read this it just felt right to write one last letter to you. Balnor brought the ill tiding to me while we were pursueing the fire piece of the ring of the elements. Now that we have it I am on my way home to see that my cousin get just just deserts.

I am beginning to get the feeling that we were meant to obtain the ring. After some misadventures with some other wizard creations we arrived at Philander Groot house. After some searching of the house that stood at the spot and the grave there we discovered another house that had to be hidden magically since it had not been ransacked and searched numerous times. While we were searching some members of the Order of Daesious rode up and demended we turn over Morduke. Since that was not gonna happen they charged. They never even reached sword range. Betweeen Toglard, my ring (powered by Toglard) and the other caster they were total destroyed. I feel sorry for my cousin once we reach him and he piss off Toglard (which isn't hard to do.)

After taking care of the riders we returned to the house and Philander Groot himself was there. Somehow he had magically sustained his life. After some talking (since he had not had a good conversation in years) he gave us the fire fragment. It seems we are collecting artifacts like some people collect pocket lint.

In the morning we haed for the cost and for Kryll to deal with my cousin. I promise you his treachery won't go unavenged.

Well, we have journeyed to the Elven lands and found out more about the ring parts and their locations. Though our elf (O something) didn't help matters. Since when had the "Ring of the Elements" been called a "Ring of 4 Parts?" The sea voyage must of messed with his head or something. I won't include the locations for fear that this letter my fall into the wrong hands. We also found out the location of Gramlock's sword. Since that was fairly close we decided to recover that first. Though how the priest could forget the site of Gramlock's Assesion I don't comprehend.

After arriving at the location we found out that some hill giants had taken up residence in the temple. We sent the elf in to scout out the area and he actually used his head and didn't attack the giants leader. We then used magic to get into the temple unseen and freed the sword with the help of the earth elementals. I was all set for sneaking back out (trying to think instead of just killing eveything) when the reast of the party insisted on killing the giants (what a bloodthirsty lot.) We killed the ones in the temple quietly then brought death to the 80 outside in glorious fashion. Once more I had to save the elf's hinney. I did enjoy casting spells with this ring I found.

We were all set to leave when we got the urge to stay and explored the catacombs underneath. I just wish the Gods or who ever they are would be a little more obvious. Maybe a letter or note or something to show us where to go. We axplored the dungeon and dealt several traps. One did get me though and caused me to attack the rest of the party. It was kindof fun though the elf wasn't there. We found some ancient shield (can't rember the name though, might be the forest or something.) I may take it up since we shouldn't have this artifact going to was especially since someone wanted us to find it.

We're off to recover the next part of the ring so hopefully my next letter will be about the recovery.
Your son.
PS If you can find out any information about he ring or the going ons ion the country send them to Minister Cordova of the Temple of Gramlock. He'll be able to relay it to Morduke.

As I sit here Bykin Castle stands. With much help from the Earth Elementals Selcors army did not even breach the walls. Though the next time a member of the party doesn't observe the rules of warfare I'll personally put an arrow his back. Cutter had ridden out under flag of parlay and was totaly ignored. Later in the day what Selcors messanger rode to the gates, he should have likewise been ignored. Instead the elf was sitting out front of the gate having a picnic. Beside's that he was out running around in the field while the battle was going on. Everyone knows that the best place to withstand a siege is inside the besieged castle. Anyways, we'll be at the castle for the next 2 weeks then we'll be heading to see the elves to find out more about the Ring. I'll try to send more word about our mission.
Your son,

As I write this letter we are preparing to be assulted by Selcor's army. We did manage to turn the Ogres on the Amazon's though. Unfortunately the Amazon's 1000 took care of the 2000 Ogres handily. I believe the Amazon's only lost about 200. I fear that the women we have encountered so far have been their lackey or wanna-be's.

More importantly, we think we have discovered the amazons true goal. Apparently, the Ring of the Elements allows access to the Tower of the Elements, a near unlimited source for the power. Any information you could get the historians, librarians, mages, etc. could dig up would be helpful. We have lead to the 2nd piece of the ring. Once we defeat Selcor's army we will pursue it.

Hopefully my next letter will have better news. So long and good luck with the noble's.

I am beginning to wonder about my companions. They all seemed like decent people (for the most part) but recent events have me wondering. Once we disposed of Baron Farqwand we returned to the castle and discovered that Nadimus had taken control. He had magiced the bykin fields and the Princess to a "safe" place (so he says.) The only reason I am standing for this is because Baron Selcor is marching on the Castle and will be here shortly. Unfortunately, I feel that we need Nadimus's help. Also while we were gone, the Kings Advisor was found out to be a traitor (much to my suspicion.)

After some discusion I was reveled that a 1/4 of the Ancient Elemental ring was hidden underneath the castle and is part of the reason the bykin is only a to grow. It ws also found out that the Bitches may be looking for this ancient artifact to help power their machines. While it seemed pretty obvious that we should retrieve this artifact the group then spend 3 hours debate on what we should do. When I asked if we were going to get to the fighting (because it was guarded by some elementals) all I got was some strange looks.

We did finally retrieve the artifact and have it secured. We are now preparing for Baron Selcor's siege. Any help you could send would be appreciated but I fear it wouldn't arrive in time. I am still confident that we triumph gloriously. The only problem is that Bistal will probally be left vulnerable when the Bitches or Ogres attack. This is the reason I am asking for reinforcements.

I know it is not all good news but that is all I can report at this time. Hopefully things fair better within the Kingdom.
Your Faithful Son
PS. Don't let the Bitches capture any spellcasters. Apparently the device they use to drain magic from items can also be used on spellcasters. The caster are killed during this process. If you fear spellcasters are going to get caught you should kill them to prevent their benefiting the bitches.

Thought I would write and let you know about the events that are rapidly spiralling out of control. I'm sure you have heard about the events of the festival by now so I won't repeat them. Along with some of the "hero's" fromthe festival we journeyed to Bistal to try to restore order. We found out that the southern baronies were revolting and planning on taking control of the capital and that damn plant everyone always talk's about.

So far we have killed 2 of the Southern Barons (supposedly, not sure if the damn elf was succesful, he says he was but I never saw the body.) The princess has assumed control of the capital from the kings advisor. I don't trust the advisor, either he doesn't seem capable or he's working with the southern barons. Time will tell. I did warn him that if anything happend to the princess it would be his life.

As for my companions, we have already gone through one wizard. Bali was a fairly decent wizard but I'm not sure about Toglard, though I like the fact that he doesn't put up any bs. I'm getting sick of Cutter Tabal "the flaming hero of bistal." There's a monk who doesn't say much and a priest of Grimlock. The priest seems like a decent fellow, but most of the followers of Grimlock are. And then theres the elf who can't seem to hold his own in a fight and then complains we're stealing his kills when we step in to help him. One of these times he's gonna get in over his head and I won't rescue him. We'll see if he changes his tune after that and starts learning his role.

I'll try to write mosre often but current events may prevent it. Hopefully this and any following information I send will help you to gain the support of the other royals.
