Philosophy of the Universe

The Universe and all that is in it consist of forces that are beyond the comprehension of man, and some even say the Gods themselves. These forces strive to control the Universe for their own gains, however there are some that strive to keep a balance between all the forces of the Universe. Of the strange and mystical forces, the forces known a Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil have the most power and struggle the most to control the Universe and all that is in it. There is, however, a fifth force that is as power as the other four. This force strives to maintain the balance between all the forces in the Universe, especially the forces of Law, Chaos, Good, and Evil. Believe that with perfect balance between the forces, the Universe and all that is in it will be able to expand and grow to it's full potential.

On the scale, Law and Chaos are opposites, Good and Evil are opposites, while the forces of Neutrality are in the center of the scale trying to balance the ends. All beings within the Universe are made of these forces, some are comprised more of one force then the other, and some have a perfect balance of two parts of the scale, and on the rare occasion there are those that are created with the perfect balance of the forces - those created from the forces of Neutrality.

As these forces struggle for control of the Universe and it's inhabitants, they will call upon their followers to aid them in the fight. Overall the forces of Neutrality. are able to keep the four points of the scale in some form of balance. There are those times, however, where one side of the scale tips and one of the forces starts to gain more control and power of the Universe. When this happens the forces of Neutrality. will aid the weakened force as much as they can while keeping the remain two forces in balance.

And sometimes, they slip completely.

The Path of LAW
Law is order, structure, control, rightness, direction. Those who follow that path of Law are those who are pretty set in their ways. They believe in order and thins are done they way they are done, because if they weren't the results would be devastating. However, while a follower of Law will do their best to observe the order or laws in a city, for example, they will be hard pressed to change their belief in how things may get done. This means that they might even break a law or two in a town because of their overall beliefs. They understand that the forces of Chaos are needed for the Universe to survive but it's power needs to be regulated. Fanatics of Law believe that the Universe must have complete structure and order, and that the eradication of Chaos is the only way to achieve this.
The Path of Chaos
Chaos is ever-changing, creation, destruction, violence. Those who follow the path of Chaos believe that change is good, and there's always a new and different way in which to do something. They can be unpredictable, and sometimes even unreliable. Followers of Chaos will do what needs to be done in order to archive the goal at hand, and that even includes following a structured routine if needed until their goal is achieved or at anytime it suits them. While Chaos itself would rather see the forces of Law swallowed in a giant black whole, there are followers who believe that some order is needed if the Universe is to survive. This means there are times (if not all the time) that Brothers of Chaos will fight in order to get what they each are looking for.
The Path of Good
Those who follow that path of Good believe in bettering the Universe for all that are in it.  They will protect their brothers until death if needs be. Followers of Good generally will overall "do the right thing" even if that means a great personal sacrifice. While they are against taking a life, they will if their actions on that day will be beneficial to man down the road.
The Path of Evil
The followers of Evil have no regard for life, or the well-being of others. They will take what they want, when they want, and do what ever it takes to get. They have no compassion and are more then not without mercy. They are vile and disgusting and would kill their own mother if it meant to make their holdings greater. They can not be trusted on any level.
The Path of Neutrality.
The followers of Neutrality. are those who have some balance between the four forces within them. Generally they either have a balance of Law and Chaos or Good and Evil. There are those who exhibit a balance with all four forces inside them, those are know as the followers of True Neutrality. This is a very hard and strenuous path to follow, not many have ever completely follow the path of True Neutrality.
