What could be more fun than an afternoon spent in the hallowed halls of consumerism, searching for this week's perfect items? The shoppers bustle back and forth, each with their own errand, their own agenda, searching for the one thing they can buy that will at last make them happy. It makes you proud to be an American!
Of course, as with many things here in Bayside, not all is as it seems.Stock footage of Halloweeners and zombies, security tape excerpts Mere minutes ago, the mall was the scene of a horrific battle pitting several local heroes against the notorious Halloweeners and their zombie minions. Arrest and cleanup footage It's hard to imagine what sort of inhuman monster would disrupt the idyllic tranquility of the mall, but that's exactly what happened; luckily for the other shoppers three of Bayside's capes were in the mall and leapt into action before anything serious could happen. Interview footage with witnesses A series of dumb questions and even dumber answers that make it clear the reporter believes the real tragedy was the loss of shopping opportunities. Footage of the heroes So there you have it, thanks to the hard-work and good timing on the part of The Tooth Fairy, the Amazing Rubber Man and Mama Mia, these shoppers and shopowners were able to get back to business. Mama Mia, Rubber Man, and the Tooth Fairy were on hand at the Mega Mall in time to thwart an attempted bank robbery. The robbers were later identified as Voodoo Child and (No Clue) of the Halloweeners.
They proceeded with their typical MO, sending in pumpkin zombies to distract security teams, then hitting their main target once the initial call had generated sufficient response. Their plan probably would have succeeded except that three heroes were in the mall shopping at the time of the incident.
Reports indicate that Mama Mia was on the scene first and was quick to begin using the contents of her famous basket of goodies to try to disable the zombies. After several attempts with her pasta balls and thrown canoli, she finally tossed a pizza and the dough blinded the zombie and it froze in place.
Rubber man, who had joined the battle by that time quickly followed suit and the zombies were apprehended with minimum damage to the mall and no serious injuries. Meanwhile, the real attack was launched at the other end of the mall where another group of zombies attempted to rob a bank.
The Tooth Fairy(!) was on hand and was able to subdue Voodoo Child easily. He had more trouble with (no clue) and was making little progress against him and the zombies until Mama Mia and Rubber Man joined him after becoming the first people to survive a ride on the Mall's new cross-mall "people-duct".
The three, working together and armed with the knowledge that blinding the zombies left them essentially inert, made short work of the zombies but were unable to prevent (no clue) from escaping via his patented pumpkinporter. They turned Voodoo Child over to the authorities but she was released later that same day.
Field Notes and Observations Mama Mia Pizzas can be used to blind opponents, dress may hide some armor. Food is always drawn from basket, could her powers be technological? Rubber Man Continues to display inventive ways to use his flexible body. Quick-thinking and unorthodox tactics as he used shopping bags to blind zombies. Tooth Fairy Power appears to put opponents to sleep harmlessly. May not work under/through water based on some witness accounts. Halloweeners Base may be marsh - reports indicate that teleporting brought in large quantity of swamp water. Still at large.
