Delve World

Maze of Ith

Prelude

So Kradel, looks like those boys made short work of your gnolls. Now what?
Oh, don't worry halfling, I've got something for them.
Oh yeah?
Yep. It'll play right into their strengths too.

Hmm, thought Martus, sounds like he's got a grudge going on. Could be bad news for 'em. Maybe I'll have to bet against Muleboy and his pals. Wonder what Kradel has planned?

Tale of the Tavern

"Oh Yeah, we took the free pass and went back in last Friday. Same bunch as last time except Wasabi now wants to be called Wo Sheng, which I thinks means "spicy sauce- in his language. Anyhow we showed up at the delve on the set time and old Drago is nowhere to be seen, but everybody has a box of chalk so we figure he can catch up later. I pour out s a shot of Lambert’s Best and call up a Blessing of the Lamplighter and then we headed in.

Started out with a whole set of good Dwarven steps, you know the ones that are normal size and set far enough apart that you can balance a armful of stuff between stairs instead of stepping down with each step. After that we decide to fallow the contrary path and go left at the first branch and immediately two swords starts up with his controversial M.C. Escher mapping method and everybody start going at the walls with chalk like bad sidewalk artists.

I asked around earlier and found out that the Delve masters had gotten in Orcs so we knew pretty much what we were going up against, But I was worried about traps and insisted on checking each door and any spot on the floors that looked suspicious. That did slow us down but I found at least one of the pit traps, another one later on got me but that was only because we were trying to hurry.

After bumping around to a few rooms with some orcs, Dragon finally showed up and we ran into a oger who had just clubbed down another orc, we chopped him up good and Wasa-Wosheng grabbed it Red Marble as his own, only to later find out it was a cursed lode stone.

Shortly after that we came into a room with three chests, it look liked the treasure room but their was nothing guarding it, and we had only searched maybe a quarter of the delve so I was a bit paranoid. I Checked the floor for traps then started to check each chest, meanwhile unbeknowenced to me everybody else had bunched up behind me just in time for the Oger Magi to spit a frosty one on us. Most everybody but me caught some frostbite but we still managed to chop the Magi up quick like till he turned into a cloud of foul smelling gas. Luckily the Elf was able to quick draw his want to waste him with a Magic missile. Turned out that the Oger was the boss for the Delve and that somehow Two Swords had led us around just about everything else and straight to the Money. A weird talent but a lucky one since if we had been cut up bad when we got there the Oger would have wasted us.

We decided to go back and look for a few more orcs but we were so badly cut up we only did one more bash then took the option of freezing the delve till Sunday afternoon. We got healed up and then came back.Sunday we chopped up a few more orcs, had Drago do the map and after killing off the Orc leader decided that it looked like we had covered about three quarters of the delve that day and that the area left we had probably wandered through the last time so we headed out only to be told we had still missed five rooms.

Oh well we got all the main stuff and made some cash, at least enough to pay the bills.”
