Steve: I'm going to play an outdoorsy priest named Heidrek

Dave: Sure screw me out of being a druid or a ranger in one step!

Dave: Okay, so maybe we could be two guys who know each other.

Steve: Sounds cool to me. Any idea about anyone else?

Dave: Not so far.

Adventure Summary

As Heidrek and Rayad, sat in a Tavern in the city of Riumache, on the Mhoried and Ghoere Borders, enjoying fine drink and the Tales of Baylor the Talkative. Baylor mentioned he was planning on attending a festive Wedding in the Northern province of the Kingdom of Roesone. Baylor thinking that any good Bard needs an audience asked if Heidrek and Rayad would accompany him. Baylor ever the Bard, made his request loudly as if to invite the entire tavern. Soon a Prince from the Kingdom of Coeranys, Ludwig and his "squire" a halfing known as Haddath were eager for some excitement and joined the Bard's company.

The group set out the next morn, for the most direct route would take them through the kingdom of Ghoere, one of the more oppressive and tryannical kingdoms in all of Anuire. Home of the corrupt and greedy Iron Guard, the group hoped to avoid the larger cities and stick to the back roads. The larger cities were known to charge a travelers tax.

After a couple of days in Ghoere, their luck ran out. A contingent of the Iron Guard had a poor peasant farmer tied to a pole. (The Iron guard is known for impaling, cruicifying or burning "criminals"). Heidrek attempted to inquire as to the nature of the farmer's plight but was rudely told it was none of his business. The Farmer explained he could not pay the tax demanded by the Iron Guard, when Heidrek purchased 15 ears of corn for 15gp to help the farmer, meanwhile, Rayad just paid the money outright. The Iron Guard seargant now having his debt fufilled turned to the "vagrants running about the countryside". He demanded to see their travel papers. After several attempts at explaining they had some but must have misplaced them, the Sgt sent the corporal to fetch some papers so that these travelers may pay their tax. While the corporal was returning with the newly inked papers, a sly Haddath managed to retreive them and give them to the Lord Ludwig. The Sgt realizing his corporal had been had, sent the group on their way, so that he could discipline his subordinate. Curiously, Baylock was absent for most of the exchange, he mumbled something about a saddle bag falling off his horse and was retrieving it.

After skirting the Spiderfell, home to the Spider a monster of terrifying blood power, the group entered the Kingdom of Roesone, just across the border the group was ambushed by some bandits. The bandits lining the sides of the road with Bows drawn demanded the groups valuables. It was readily apparent that these "bandits" were neither hardened criminals nor very bright. The group refused to give up the gold and the bandits let loose with their arrows. A quick spell from Ludwig had the arrows falling harmlessly to earth. Frightened by the sorcery, most of the bandits immediately fled. The bandit leader attempted to charge the party and was quickly dispatched by Rayad and Ludwig. All but one wounded bandit fled. This "bandit" relayed to the party that they were starving peasants from Ghoere. He was healed by Heidrek and sent on his way with a promise to rob no more.

The group now heads to the province of Bellam in Roesone with the Wedding festivities starting in a couple of days
