Aurelius was the most useful of the shepherds from last week

There were giant beavers upriver from Stropshire. Another group of Pioneers dealt with them.

Some of the crazy dogs have since been treated. They were early cases of the plague cured by the plant you recovered last time

Sounds like aurelius is most time sensitive.
Who is aurelius again?

Have we heard anything about the Dogs claiming to be disciples of Saint Akbash, the water crisis in Stropshire and the two missing pioneers, or the dogs that were acting weird?

Can I get an audience with sir Albert and find out what sort of skill set he is recruiting and why. And possibly sign up depending on what he says.
An audience would take a while to secure. Normally members of the Royal Guard are perceptive and skilled at arms. He is looking for outdoorsy types and those with stealthier skills.

What sort of strangers are asking what sorts questions are they asking about lord Aurelius?
There are a pair of dogs who are clearly outsiders. They are looking for a little background but more strongly asking after his favorite haunts.

Have I seen or heard anything of these strange new sects?
Rumors like this are fairly common. You haven't seen anything directly, but no one would be dumb enough to ally with the Unseen in the presence of a Pioneer or any law enforcement types.

1) Strangers have been asking after Lord Aurelius.

2) Monster hunters are wanted to help clear our some land on the edge of Pugmire. Some say the land is poisonous and no crops will grow; others say the animals in the area are strangely mutated monsters.

3) Sir Albert Corgi, the head of the Royal Guard, is apparently looking for new recruits. Rather oddly, he doesnít sound to be looking for the more traditional sort of dog that might be recruited for the guard, but ones with rather more unusual skill sets.

4) Splinter faiths and sects are hardly unheard of, as not every dog follows the Church of Man, but recently more of these than usual have been arising. The new sects are far stranger than any that have come before and some are rumoured to be actually worshipping the Unseen and demons.

1 seems like an immediate concern and needs to be checked 2 isn't going anywhere and so can wait 4 might be important though I am not sure we can do much unless a foe is identified. 3 seems like you will always find some dogs out for themselves when they have power. I think we should go after number 1 first and then 4 third is 3 and finally the stationary ruins

1. Shepherds were routed from the Fearsome Forest and were forced to retreat with some casualties.

2) There are rumors of a ruin of Man where a dog barely escaped with his life. He isn't willing to return for love or money, but has shared the location with Max Pug.

3) Be careful of the Pugmire City Guard. Most of the dogs in the guard are tough but fair, and do their job, but a few are definitely not good dogs. These dogs are simply out for what they can get, using their position to simply benefit themselves. Of course, the City Guard will deny that there are any dogs like this serving, but thatís just what youíd expect them to say.

4) Various dogs have started acting in a manner that can only be described as crazy, and totally out of character for those affected. This might suggest the actions of demons or the Unseen, but nothing can be found to actually back this up.

More rumors for next session. Please pick one by Sunday the 26th

1) Shepherds are still hiring guards in Mutttown to take them into the Fearsome Forest to look for a particular plant they say has healing properties.

2) Two pioneers went to the village of Stropshire to help with the water crisis and they haven't been heard from. The villagers say they arrived and then left without coming back. The water crisis continues.

3) Dogs claiming to be disciples of Saint Akbash have recently started appearing in greater numbers in both villages and towns. They claim to have discovered the secrets of the Saintís healing powers and are willing to share them - for plastic. The Church of Man seems unsure as to whether these followers are either genuine or good dogs.

4) Thereís a treasure buried on one of the islands in the mouth of the river, east of Waterdog Port. Itís apparently been there for years and belonged to a notorious pirate. Many have gone looking for the treasure but none have found it. Some of the searchers have never even returned. Perhaps the treasure is guarded by something dangerous.

Okay, so three potential adventures, you guys have until about 5 pm to pick one otherwise I'll choose.

1) Shepherds are hiring guards in Mutttown to take them into the Fearsome Forest to look for a particular plant they say has healing properties.

2) The village of Stropshire is in the middle of a water crisis and they don't know why; they're looking for someone to help them out.

3) There has been an increase in the numbers of rats who are raiding travellers on the South Road out of Pugmire. Travellers are being told to be extra vigilant. Itís rumoured that this increase in rat raiders is not by accident; there is a group behind them. The Monarchies are the most likely suspects.
