Two months later the mines play out and Priest abandons the area.

The Current Situation

The woods in the northern end of the pass are separated from most of the are by Blind Widow mountain. Because of this isolation they have remained wild and unchanged since before the area was settled, making it a popular place for naturalists, hunters and hikers. When the National forest was declared it was assumed that the woods was a part of it, but on paper the national forest ends well north of Blind Widow Mt.

Tories found out about this descepency and had put in a claim on the land, he plans to develop a casino resort by a lake in the woods and develop a ski run on Blind Widow MT. Objecting to these plans are Luara Miller, the owner of the local ski resort and numerous naturalist.

Supporting the plan is mayor Graves who would like to see his town develop and other local who like the ideal of more money coming into town.
