The Hook
The walkers of the tree tops have become the walkers of the roof tops.
Summary
The party arrives in Boston with instruction to seek out Father Lemelin, a known contact of the society of St George. He is said to be in the Cathedral of the holy Cross so they head to the old one that is due to be torn down.
They notice a young man watching the front doors, while a thug is guarding the rear door.
They head inside a hear and crashing sound and the sound of a man in torment.
They find more thugs holding down Father lemelin while destroying a book to force him to tell them where a certin girl is. The thugs are scared off by Amos waving his gun around.
The priest explains what they were asking and claims no knowledge of the girl, the young man who followed the harbinger into the church crys out that the priest is a lair.
Enoch Baird chased the man who kidnapped his sister toward boston and spoted one of the men helping to transfer a statue from the old cathedral to the new one.
The ruffians attack the group along the way, then flee after their leader is killed, but not before they deeply cut Enoch with a stright razor
They learn the Lem and the Burnberry boys were asked by their Patron, the tall man to find and kidnap the girl in return for the reflar supplies of Abstite which he provided.
The Brunberry boys had taken over the bunch of grapes tavern after is was burned in a fire three years ago and the owner is getting some work done to repair it, they have renamed it the burnt grapes and have been using it as their base of operation since the workers and owner are in a disputes.
From the sociaty of St georage they learn that a creature call the roofwalker was summoned to this world to kill a witch hunter who was hunting a witch named Enith Cringus, the witch hunter got the witch first, but the roofwalker killed the witch hunter.
The roofwalker had slept since then until it senced that the gate to it’s home was approachign it’s apex and sought out the desendent of Enith Cringus to use her blood to open a gate.
The group realized that Enoch’s blood on the razor may do the same job
The roofwalker attack the old cathereal with it’s pawn on their way to assist it, but flee it realized what it was up against, the harbinger followed it to the burnt grapes and found a portal ripped through creation rather then walking along side creation.
Through this they came to cave filled with luminous moss and fought moss covered corpses, one of which was that of the witch hunter who carried Serverous, a head’s man blade, one of seven build by the master swordsmith Domingo Montoya to fight against evil.
Serverous had the power to sever spell link the death of those it slays to protect harbinger from death curses or other spell attivated to retaliate agaisnt those the slay spell worker, they also found it break spell on the dead such as a magic to animate corpses.
They found and killed the roofwalker which destroyed the moss and the portal, leaveing them stranded 17 miles from boston
