Prelude
The players find a letter in a bottle from a woman begging for aid for fear of werewolves coming for her family.
Summary
A young woman named Virginia Steel send a letter in a bottle in a stream that sinks into a hole in a hill that reaches the Harbringer in the Other lands.
A generation ago Duncan Atkins and three other men came to America hunting down a man under the curse of lycanthropy named Guilinaire Normandeau, they found him and ended his cursed life after several months of hunting him down.
They allowed his native wife and two children to live as they killed Normandeau on the night of a full moon and they showed no sign of burning on contact with silver even on a night of the full moom.
Duncan lived and settled down in quebec, one of the others died, one returned to europe and the other opened a hat shop in new york.
The new yorker, Balthasar Murph, was killed by dogs while returning to his home on the night of the full moon, Duncan’s son Zebenon went to settle Balthasar affairs and investigate his death and was all killed by what people claim to have been a trained bear in his room who dragged off his body
Viginia had retrieved a message from her brother who had found note from Balthasar that Normandeau had a third older child she believes may have been infected and is now old enough to seek revenge.
Her father is on his way to her home to protect her, but she fears he would be the next target, and hope for others to save both of their lives before the next full moon in one week.
The player diverted to Tobias Young, a publisher and Cooresponer who provided the Harbingers with silver throwing knives. They obtained a silver alloy tomahawk as well as a silver headed cane with a conceal flask and cup. And a silver streight razor.
On their arrival to Pleasant Vally they found two dead men, one of whom had been nail to at tree when they returned. The men had been killed by large bare footed man.
They found farms burned, and the survivors from wolf attacks and people with torches holed up at the Steel farm.
They found a body in a house own by a farrier while casting bullets that had been skinned.
There was a plan to evacuate the uninvoled neighbors, but Duncan Atkins nixed it since several of them had been bitten and they could not know they hadn’t been cursed.
That night a owl tried to attack a freeman named Tycho only to forced to veer off by Amo
Zack took a side trip to Matthias’s house to bring in a book with a formula with the word Wolf’sbane in it which porved to be a formula to force a werewolf to take on their wolf form
A man named Alex Hubris set the house on fire and tried to blame the Harbingers only for Zack to detect he was hideing his scent of Otherkind under a ointment. Zack tried to turn his head off only to tear away the skin showing his a native man wearing a skin. A skin walker rather then a werewolf.
All three children of the were wolf proved to be uses animal and human skins to on other forms. The older brother was chased down while the other two were captured and killed
