Aredel

Lair of the Dead

Prelude

In Corison:

"What is going on out there? Why are we suffering such extreme losses?" Gyron of the temple of Gret asks angerly.

"I do not know." Thyre of Si replies. "The Temples of Evil have seem to have some power we are not aware of. This power is causing us to lose battles all over the world."

"Well, we better find a solution soon. Word is in, the temple of Kiaval is now allied with Daesious. We are quickly becoming outnumbered."

The Iron Shores:

"I am at my wits end, Thorb. I do not know what to do. Reports are coming in that the kingdoms of Man are in states of war. The Amazons have returned, but they have yet to knock on our door yet. We sat idle all those thousands of years ago and we almost lost everything."

"My King, humans are...well they are untrustworthy creatures. Our great kingdom did not start to lose it's pride and glory until the Humans came. It was the Perrethians that attacked our borders, it was our association with the Humans that brought the Amazons wrath on us. We have not seen an attack on our borders in almost a year, no one has an interest in us. We should make sure we do our best to asure we are un-interesting to everyone. Stay clear of this."

"I believe you are right, Thorb"

"Of couse, Sire."

Adventure Summary

A few days passed and the man had woken from his coma. He introduced himself as Krylor. He explained that the last thing he remembers was fighting Argorithan and then blackness. As the group asked questions Krylor was unable to answer. His memory was cloudy and could not recall many things.

The group decided to head directly to the Mountain and face the lich. As they prepared to leave Krylor accepted their offer of joining them. Using a Wish, the group was in teh room ajacent to "The Lich", they heard the sounds of large creatures outside in the hall. As they left the room and came around the corner, they could see the great hall filled with various undead creatures. The Elves, Amazons, Humans, and various demons, even dwarves. Witha  few quick spells high numbers of humans, and dwarves fell. Another volley of spells and arrows and almost all that was left where the four flavors of demon.

Engaging in both melee and ranged attacks the group fought long and hard. During the fight Toglard noticed two liches enter the room and prepare spells but before they could Toglard let loose with two spells of his own. The battle was longer then the group would have like but they came out beaten but victorious.

As the moved to the door that led tot he Lich, Toglard cast an Anti-magic shell on his toad and left him at the door. They opened the doors and watched as magical fire and spells faded at the radius of the shell. The party then moved into the room casting a few spells and letting arrows fly. They noticed the Lich had the same anti-magic field that the other Lich had. But the spells made short work of the demons and undead soliders in the room. Using a Wall of Force, Toglrad enclosed the group and the Lich together so no others could attack. Ulrich and Morduke moved on the Lich, while Farrol went after the demon gaurds. The fight was long and many spells were used. The Lich was tough and just before his death he let loose with a Disjunction spell, redering many of the items in the group useless. Toglard also notice that just before they destroyed the Lich, the Lich sent part of his life force away.

Shane Lee delievered that final blow that turned the Lich to dust, leaving behind a few magical items including the Rife of Fire.

Finishing off the undead soliders, the group made their way back to the encampment.
