Way of Owl
Purpose
Students of the Way of Owl admire his wisdom.
History
The origins of the Way of Owl are lost. They are known to have originated in Timor Plains, but the savages there kept no histories. It is believed by most that all other Paths and Ways were inspired by the original six of Timor Plains, but no one now knows which of those was first.
Philosphy
All animals have much to teach us, but Owl is the greatest of all.
Joining
The secrets of Owl are open only to the Children of Owl.
Membership in Way of Owl is exclusive. Members must also meet the following requirements:
Wisdom 13+Secrets
Those who follow Owl will teach their Level 1 and 2 secrets to anyone who follows another animal Way. They will teach their level 1 secrets to those who follow a natural Way of any kind.
Level 1 Owl Advice 100 Wis 13+ The character gets a +2 on any opposed roll to determine an enemies tactics. Level 2 Owl Speech 200 The character can speak with owls Owl Knowledge 200 The character gains the Obscure Knowledge feat. Level 3 Owl's Wisdom 400 The character gains 1d4+1 points of Wisdom for 6 rounds. This ability can be used once/day per point of natural Wisdom bonus. Owl Vision 400 The character takes no penalties when flanked, but he still takes penalties for attacks from behind. Level 4 Owl Friend 800 Owl Speech The character can use animal friendship on an owl.. Owl Sight 800 The character gains darkvision to a range of 60' Level 5 Owl Shape 1600 The character can change from human to owl form 1/day per 5 levels. Changing back is free. Other Information
Owl students tend to see much and speak little, particularly as neophyte students.
