Observations of a Spy

Perrathan CY 368
Minister Albrecht

Sir, as ordered I have travelled to Bistal to acquire the needed information on how the war was going there. I was also to offer aid where possible and report on the ogres so you decide if it was prudent to commit our forces at this time.
What I have learned is sometimes shocking and often disheartening, Bistal seems to have little if any military information even about whats going on within thier own borders. Civil war and banditry are rampant across the nation. One bright spotin this darkness is a group called Cutter's Bravos. I have managed to join with these "Heroes" as Solvay of Tusmit and help. They may be exactly what is needed for much of the world not just Bistal. Cutter is a decent warrior and competent fighter although somewhat taken with meaningless actions. He is however bolstered by several stout warriors and some sort of elf who calls himself Olwuniak. This elfs sole benefit to the group seems his willingness to die or do something stupid and then die. The first time I saw him in action we were gathering intelligence about Farkwan's fores and we decide its possible to assasinate him. So, this wizard Toglard, oh yeah they have a wizard and for all his bluster he is very competent, makes the elf invisible and the elf attmpts an assasination at sundown rather than wit until most would be sleeping. If not for Toglard I am certain he would have died as well as the others that charged to aid him. Toglard let off with a couple of blats of flame that did good work. We now prepare for the attack on the capital and I fear it will be a close thing, and I am not sure the troops or thier leaders have not been subborned by other enemies. At least with Toglard, I know where I stand.. he is probably a Perrathan given the pragmatism and honesty that he views most situations but I don't know for sure.
