From Hell's Heart

The Dark Ones are building some sort of a magic grid to serve as a warning or defensive system of some sort. The wizards have identified a central distribution point and the team is dispatched to smash and destroy it and the network.

The team has captured two members of a patrol belonging to the dark wizards. Let the interrogation begin!

The team finds the captive and his unit are, at least some of them, unlikely allies. They enter the city using false papers and make contact with Ko Bop, a resistance fighter who is opposed to experimentation on humans.

Ko provides them with maps and information to penetrate the tower. The penetration commences with hostiles encountered earlier and in greater force than expected.

Mission Report

The advance continues as the team encounters a series of living guardians and increasingly more difficult traps. Along their path asset Farroll disables 4 fiendishly complex traps.
The other assets engage in battle with a hellhound, a gibbering mouther, a tunnel worm, six demons and two men. None of the resistance elements proves capable of mounting serious opposition to our advance and we eventually arrive at the drain which will take us, once reduced, to our goal.
At the final target, the team splits with asset Farrol engaging in initial sabotage and the others engaging a wide range of wizards and monsters in defense of Farrol's efforts.
In the end, Grendel's newly acquired hammers tell the tale, creating a sonic vibraction which shatters most of the crystals and leaves the monsters unable to fight. The team returns to the drain and begins its harrowing escape.
