Summary

The first match saw the Crimson Rogers trying to rough up the Vesten. The Rogers had a serious cannoning advantage, but were ultimately no match for the well-trained sailors of the Revensj.

A three player match at the same time pitted the Gosse, Montaigne, and Corsairs against each other. The Montaigne and Corsairs, old enemies were wary of each other, but both leapt on the first opportunity to sink the Gosse Gentleman. After that, an old fashioned cannon battle ensued and the Corsairs won out.

Meanwhile the Rogers and Vesten met again and, though the decision was much closer, the Vikings again won out, thanks to some lucky breaks in the weather.

The Crimson Rogers, Vesten and Gosse Gentelmen then met up for a match. Things looked bad for the Vesten early, as the Gosse sunk their best cannoneer very early in the game. The Vikings retreated to lick their wounds while the Rogers and the Gentlemen set to work on each other. The Rogers cleared the decks of Gentlemen, but failed to sink them and again one of the ships retreated. The Vikings sailed back in with a vengeance and boarded the Rogers ship in the midst of a furious storm. None of the pirates survived. The Gentlemen met with a similar fate only minutes later.

The Montaigne and Corsairs again tangled and the match was close for a long time, particularly due to the clever use of allies by the Montaigne. In the end, however, the bloodthirsty Corsairs won out, sending the Montaigne ship and its captain to the briny depths.
