Lots were drawn randomly for the first pair of matches. The Montaigne, Corsairs, and Gentleman fought hard but in the end the Corsairs eked out a victory. Meanwhile, the Vesten, thanks to a break in the weather, defeated the Dogs and Rogers.
The second pair of matches was determined the same way. In the second round, the Vesten narrowly defeated the Montaigne and Dogs while the Gentlemen coasted to victory over the Rogers and Corsairs.
