Mazar approached Boz with a deal. He needed a cargo hauler for a job he'd undertaken and he was hoping they'd be interested. After checking with Soro and the others, Boz agreed. The cargo was loaded while Boz and Soro were still working on the last few mods to the hyperdrive. Luckily, Boz finished the final checks on the new hyperdrive just in time for lift off.
They arrived on a backwater world where, Mazar assured them, the locals would pay them well for their efforts. They unloaded their cargo, which consisted mostly of weapons and defense systems. Koubla befriended one of the natives while Boz did his best to ignore their primitive plaints. Koubla discovered that their whole culture was based on a clan system.
The defense systems were to protect them from another clan which was also receiving off-world support. They had hired Mazar to help them fight against their neighbors and he had, thus far, come through in spades. Koubla wondered what they could trade for the equipment and it turned out their planet had naturally occuring crystals which had a variety of applications in electronics and optics.
Boz and Mazar set up the defense system and field tested it until Mazar was satisfied. The pair then met with the elders while Koubla and his new native friend continued to chat. The elders wanted some fighters and were willing to pay for them. They discussed it with Boz who agreed to purchase four fighters for them and return them. They paid him in crystals which, Mazar told him, could be expected to net 50,000 credits.
Koubla invited his new native friend for a ride aboard the ship. He had discovered the young human was a "mystic" of the village, gifted with the Force, though not a Jedi. He hoped to train the young man to lead his people and unite the warring clans to defend against the scum who would certainly come in pursuit of the crystals.
