The Great Escape

Prelude

A short time ago in a burial chamber not far from here a group of tomb raiders unleashed a horrible power on the universe. The first thing it did was insult them, then, unbeknownst to them, it possessed their pilot. Now we'll see how it all turns out.

Player's Perspective

We continued to dig our way out of the hole we'd crashed into last time. Soro was a bit cranky, but everyone blamed it on the return of our favorite native son (who had been thawed out to help dig). Once the digging was completed, Boz fixed the shields, rigged up some stuff to help cut through the ion field, and insisted on figuring out a better place to land next time. He also fixed a shuttle and loaded the best snub fighter and some parts into the cargo bay.

Soro continued to bitch about the time everything was taking. Kubla and Wolf went out exploring and looking for artifacts to sell. Eventually everyone was convinced it was safe to leave and Soro knew just where to go. They arrived on yet another backwater world. While Kubla and Wolf enjoyed some local hospitality, Boz fixed the ship (very exciting boy, yes?) and Soro went looking for a cargo.

Soro returned hours later, having no idea they'd even left the tomb world. Investigation revealed that logs had been wiped of all information on the archaelogists and it seemed that all was lost. Luckily, Wolf had been watching the astrogation and remembered the coordinates. A flight there led to the information that a number of men and droids had shown up, flown down, shot up the archaelogists and a number of artifacts, then left, blowing up the passage behind them.

The group decided to return to Corruscant and report to the Council. The report went well and they were assigned to follow up on the cult as it was becoming clear that they were more dangerous than anyone had feared. Their first assignment was to monitor the Duras patrol ship, which they did by flying to its expected next port.

They arranged for it to be berthed nearby and Boz set to work on some sophisticated snooping systems and a homing beacon. Soro planted the beacon while Boz worked and Koubla and Wolf sampled the local tavern.

The plan worked reasonably well except the data they picked up was, as usual coded. It was, eventually, decoded, and the group set off for the same planet as their Duras friends.
