The Adventure

It was just a regular day for Night Hawk. He was about his duties as the new janitor at the local museum when he noticed his working partner had gone missing. Curious, Night Hawk went searching only to find his partners clothes folded neatly on the floor in the janitors supply room, and the door knob having some strange marks on it.

Curious as always, Night Hawk investigated more only to find some sort of half-man/half-lion type creature in the new Aztec exhibit cutting a hole into the glassing case around some ceremonial mask. After some brief banter and grabbing a chair Night Hawk warned the lion-man to stop what he was doing and leave. Not liking this idea, the Lion-man attacked. Night Hawk showed to have more skills then just with a broom as he defended off the attack of the lion-man. The lion-man, a little shocked that his attack was thwarted left out a mighty roar which caused Night Hawk to step back a few feet.

On duty in the museum security office, Mutant police officer, Talos was having a nice jelly donut when he heard the mighty roar. Throwing aside his jelly donut he sounded the alarm and went to investigate. When he came into the room he noticed the lion-man, who he recognized as the Black Lion, fighting with the new janitor. Giving his "Halt police" warning, he joined the fight. Talos and the Black Lion seemed to be almost an even match for each other. Exchanging blow after blow, with the Lion's claws ripping apart Taloss uniform. Suddenly, Talos was hit by an energy beam blasting through the window, knocking him back a foot or two.

Meanwhile, across the street at the Univeristy mildly known hero Trekker was giving a physics leature to his class when the alarm went off across the street. While Trekker and the rest of the class where checking out what was going on at the windows, one of his students stepped out of the class room to check out things on his own. Brad, now in the hallway used his mental powers to render himself invisible and changed into his alter-ego Psyke Out.

Psyke Out came out to the streets in enough time to see a man in some armor suit fire an energy beam into the museum. Taking him for a bad guy Psyke Out attempted to create the illusion that the ground was swallowing mr. armor man up, but failed. At the same time Trekker took the blast as a cue and transported himself over next to the armor man who he recognized as Cannon. Trekker tried to reason with Cannon but it wasn't working. As Psyke Out moved closer he blasted Cannon's ego, hoping to sedue him. Cannon let off another attack and took to the air with his rocket pack. Trekker set his phaser to stun and attempted to shoot, missing by inches. Psyke Out threw another Ego blast at Cannon which seem to render him unconsious. The only problem now is Cannon's jet pack was still taking him skyward, this is until the saftey kicked in and turned off the pack sending Cannon back to the ground. Psyke Out took flight to catch him, realising he wasn't going to make it in time, Psyke reached out with his mind and caught the falling Cannon, lowering him to the ground.

Inside the museum, Talos and Night Hawk were still tangoing with the Black Lion. Mildly annoyed at this point Talos hauled off with a major bitch slap sending the Black Lion in to the dark realms of unconsciousness. Soon after the police showed up and hauled off the evil-doers, leaving our heroes to get to know each other.

Nightly News

And, in supers news, Talos and Trekker teamed up with a janitor and a new hero named Psyke Out to capture Black Lion and Cannon this evening. The pair was attempting to steal the Mask of Tzehal, a Mayan artifact currently on display at the Metropolitan Museum. Unfortunately, the pair were able to escape capture en route to the police detention area when a Viper team blockaded the road and pinned police down for nearly three minutes. The two are at large and considered dangerous. No word yet on what they intended to do with the mask.

Tabloid

Daring Escape
Black Lion and Cannon, working for DEMON attempted to steal the Mask of Tzehal, which grants its wearer arcane powers. They were able to escape when a DEMON team, using secret FORGE technology, deactivated their restraint collars and overpowered police. Black Lion was overheard to say he'd be getting even with the idiots who captured him.

Talos Revealed!
Yes, it's true, he's red all over!

Trekker's Away Team!
Trekker teamed up with Talos, Psyke Out and a well-meaning innocent bystander to foil the theft of the Mask of Tzehal. In his usual humble style, Trekker gave his friends credit for their assistance.

The Mop Man Cometh
An unidentified janitor at the Metropolitan Museum, armed with only a mop, was able to hold off Black Lion long enough for Talos to arrive and really clean up. The janitor, whose name is being witheld for his own protection, was credited with foiling the robbery and saving the life of at least one guard due to his quick thinking and an extra-large dose of guts!
