You there, boy, take this message to Urbane Harkonen. See to it that no one reads it but him.

Summary of the Adventure

The members of the Company have returned to the city to survey their holdings. Androth has brought furnishings and objet d'art from the Elven city with which to decorate his new home. Likewise, Brother Urbane has brought appropriate furnishings for his temple, along with three acolytes.

Calidon's home is completed and he immediately begins his first remodeling project. Androth offers Malz a room and the two begin decorating, sometimes they work together, other times they seem at odds. Urbane sets his acolytes to work. Andi heads south after killing many orcs.

All in all, things are going very well for the group. Cedric arrives to collect taxes. Only Androth cooperates fully, the rest opt to wait for the appraiser to survey their homes before paying their taxes. Harkonen suggests that one of his acolytes might make a good appraiser and Pendergrast agrees.

Andi comes to town and bumps into Malz as he heads home after shopping. A passerby mistakes Malz for a salesman and tries to buy one of the lamps he carries. Following a brief and increasingly heated exchange, Andi punches the citizen. The guards intervene and, once Andi apologizes, they decide not to take him to the magistrate. Leaving them, Andi heads right to the weaponsmith. The guards follow and suggest that he wait a day before buying a sword.

During a dinner thrown by Androth, it is revealed that Draynor is coming to town to hire adventurers. The group resolves to find him and bring him to justice. A pair of beautiful serving wenches seem smitten with Androth who does not return their interest. Malz and Andi are both interested, but have little luck with the young ladies.

Andi meets Draynor, who is posing as a merchant named Ronyard, and agrees to accompany him to the Library of Lylgamen. The party is apprehensive and Malz uses a spell to confirm that he is in fact Draynor. They also learn that he killed the first group he accompanied there and stole their things. He plans to do it again.

The company enjoys the festival and departs with Draynor. Harkonen is convinced not to execute him by Androth's explanation that the riches of the library will be offered as weregild for the stolen horses and things. Harkonen accepts Androth's demand, but will only be satisfied with Draynor's death.

Joe (refering to Mike's half-buried stronghold): If he comes out of his tower and sees his shadow, we get another week of festival.

John (after the GM says they're singing the Ansalean national anthem): Ansalea, our home and sacred land
Where Pendergrast does hold command
