Prelude
Better button everything up tight tonight, looks like we got a hell of a storm coming
Don't seem right, it ain't even storm season.
Hell, you been comin' through here long enough to know there ain't no such thing as a storm "season"
I suppose.
What's that sound?
Sounds like drums to me.
Sure does, but I thought the Cherokee were under truce.
They are. Probably some sort of ceremony or somesuch.
I don't like it.
Me neither, but there ain't much we can do about it. Get them wagons circled up and then get some grub.
Sounds like maybe they're getting closer...
Adventure Summary
The members of the posse band together for safety as they travel through the Haunted Hills. Barbados, Cletus and Virgil are picking up supplies for their ranch, the Lazy S; Kinkaid and Valdez are pursuing a wanted criminal; the rest of the group is headed west for a variety of undisclosed reasons.
They come upon a wagon train that's been attacked by Indians. The settlers tell them that the Indians kidnapped their children and beg them to rescue the kids. The posse convinces them to hole up where they are and wait.
They trail the kids, finding a mine where the kids are being forced to mine ghost rock. They wind up destroying a couple of mining automatons and their creator escapes in some sort of flying contraption
The posse returns the kids to safety (although some "kids" are less safe than others) and the settlers put on a feast. Several members of the group imbibe rather heavily.
In the morning, the only one smiling is Crowe and no one knows exactly why
