Adventure Summary
After waking up rather imbibe in the morning, and seeing how Crow was the only one
smiling. Most of the party expressed their opinions on what happened the night before
between Crow and the girl, Alice. Feeling that Crow might have impressed his will on
her, he was questioned heavily by the group. He denied all charges. Barbados approached
the family, and demanded that they tell him what happened. When the family told him that
they didn't want any trouble and everything was fine, Barbados not liking that answer,
asked again, and the same answer was giving, with "We don't want any trouble"
tacked on to it. Again not liking the answer, Barbados asked again, this time his voice
raised with a hint of anger. Again, they said everything was ok and they didn't want any
trouble and not to mind it. Barbados still not happy with their answers decided it didn't
matter what they said, and stormed across the camp filled with seven families leveling his
shotgun to shot at Crow, who was standing in the camp chatting with members of the wagon
train. Barbados's plan to surprise Crow and just blow him away failed when the families in
the camp saw him walking across the grounds with a loaded shotgun leveled to shoot, Crow
seeing Barbados taking aim at him quickly stepped into the mass of people that were
standing around him. Barbados realized that the shotgun was a bad idea in the crowd of
people so he pulled his gun instead. By this time the rest of the group showed up seeing
what was going on. Though many shared Barbados's point of view about Crow, they also
agreed that shooting him dead in the middle of camp was a bad idea. Kinkaid suggested if
they wanted to continue this call out here and now they should go a 100 yards out of camp,
take ten paces and kill each other civilized like. They followed his suggestion. The group
went out with them. The showdown was over quickly. Crow drew faster then Barbados and
fanned two into his guts. Just as Barbados hit the ground two strangers rode up, one
indian, and a young boy. The young boy quickly went to the aid of Barbados trying to stop
the bleeding of his wound, but his attempt were in vain, Barbados was dead. Even
though most of the group expressed anger towards Crow, no one acted on it. They gathered
up Barbados's body and his things and continued into town with the other wagon
train. The boy and the indian joined the group. On the ride in they learned the bot, J.T,
was there to team up with Kinkaid and learn about being a bounty hunter. The indian,
Shawana, was keeping the boy out of trouble. The group also learn quickly that the other
wagon train wanted nothing more to do with them for the rest of the ride. When the group
arrived to Willoughby, Cleatus and Virgil continued on out to the Lazy S, and the group
split up in town. Kinkaid, Hector, and J.T. went to learn more about Dalton, an outlaw
Hector and Kinkaid were hunting. Shawana went to seek high enlightenment, Crow, and Zeek
just went to the saloon. Sooner or later the rest of the group ended up at the saloon,
where they were asked to join Hector, Kinkaid, and J.T. to ride out to Beruda's ranch to
get Dalton. During all that U.S Marshall Walters showed up and arrested Crow for the rape
of Alice and the murder of Barbados. Not to long after that Cleatus and Virgil showed back
up into town with two gunmen looking for Crow. They found the party and while inquiring
about Crow one of the gunmen, Charlie, exchanged a few words with both Hector and Kinkaid,
calling them both out after they dealt with Dalton believing they wouldn't survive the
meeting. Everything seemed to die down around 10pm that night, Virgil and Cleatus went
back to the Lazy S, Crow was locked away, Zeek was drinking in the bar, and the rest of
the group had went to bed. About an hour later seven men rode into town making a lot of
noise, and ended up at the saloon. Kinkaid came down the stairs to see what was going on,
Hector, J.T, and Shawana were right behind him. As Kinkaid came down the stairs he came
face to face with Dalton. After a few words were exchanged Dalton called Kinkaid out, and
to the streets they went. Shots were fired, and Kinkaid proved to be faster then Dalton
landing three shots in Dalton before Dalton returned one to his guts. A few more shots
were fired and Dalton fell dead to the ground. A small gun fight broke out between Kinkaid
and Hector with some of Daltons boys. After one fell dead and one was seriously wounded,
they gave up and were escorted to jail. After returning to the saloon and cauterizing his
wound with some of Zeeks moonshine, Kinkaid's actions during that day were questions by
the green little tinhorn J.T., how come Kinkaid wasn't afraid of Dalton, but wouldn't call
out Crow, and why they weren't riding out to Beruda's to kill people. Kinkaid simply
explained that you just don't ride out to a ranch full of gunmen with only 5 guys, no
plan, and having a gut wound that need time to heal. Some banter was exchanged and more
then one person offered to take J.T. out back and use the switch on him.
