The posse was in town, anxiously awaiting the return of JT and Virgil who had been sent to find someone who could identify the professor. In the meantime, several of them attended to other business in town. Armando brushed up on his gambling skills with Crowe. Cletus and Kincaid patrolled the town, and Zeke befriended the professor and his housekeeper.
On the day Virgil returned, he brought back Louise Parker, her son Bobby, and Dusty. Dusty had been running his still down in Willoughby and wanted Zeke to try it out. Dusty found Zeke out at the professor's place and they commenced to drinking under the professor's oak tree. When Kincaid and Cletus came down to arrest the professor, Dusty and Zeke started heckling him.
Dusty finally pushed too far (by pretending to kiss the professor's butt) and wound up getting thrown in jail alongside the professor. Zeke didn't take too kindly to the whole thing and kept hackin' on Kincaid as well, finally goading him into starting a scuffle in the town square just as the judge was coming to see if Bobby could identify the professor or not. Kincaid, angry at Zeke and not wanting to look soft in front of the Judge, tossed the mountain man in jail too.
When Bobby saw the professor, he couldn't identify him. He thought the man who had kidnapped him was much taller and meaner looking than the professor. When Dusty announced that Virgil had brought him to town to identify the professor as the kidnapper, the case was thrown out.
Meanwile, Virgil was approached by a man named Aubrey James who was in need of some help. He had spotted a pack of wolves up near mirror lake and wanted some tough hombres to help kill them. He hinted that they weren't normal, but Virgil ignored that and began recruiting some of his friends for the job. Hector overheard their conversation and volunteered his services to James as well.
Cletus and Kincaid turned him down, not sure they should desert their posts. Their answer came a few minutes later though when a buckboard came racing into town. The driver was unhurt but his wife and son had been nearly killed by a pack of dogs. The story he told was strange: first one dog had approached, then several. When they started howling he and his family couldn't help but run. They had only been saved by a crazed indian who the man claimed had been a wolf himself.
With a clear threat to the citizens of Laramie, Kincaid and Cletus decided to throw their lot in with James.
Mark: You have premature snappage.
Mark: You're only gay if you're on top
Joe2: Cool, wanna come over to my place and be straight?
Joe2: Have you ever seen a holy water sprinkler?
Steve: No
Mark (makes the sign of the cross, then moves it from left to right slowly and back quickly, like a sprinkler):It goes tsk tsk tsk tsk shhhhh
Dusty: That's a nice filly you got there.
Zeke: You mean this one?
Dusty: Uhm Zeke, that's a stallion
Zeke (Looking underneath): Oh!
Aubrey James: Have you seen things you can't explain?
Mark: I have. Him and him and him (points at the rest of the players)
Steve: If you don't have a comeback, we always us "F*ck you"
Mrs. D: I couldn't say that in front of Lou (moves behind him) Fuck you and the horse you rode in on
