And I would have a great interest in working with one of the tattoo'd specialist classes with tribal wizard/socerers. That's kinda what I had in mind when I had my character, but it didn't come around until the d20 specialists book...

We just watched "The Time Machine." Not the greatest movie, but a great deal of the second half reminded me of what I think Torok should be. (At least the Wild part...)

Q: Are firearms still gonna be part of the game, if so will they be simple, martial, or exotic weapons?

They will still be around and will be exotic weapons.

Q: Is sorcery something new since the change, if so what is the marotians view of it?

Sorcery still exists, I will probably make a split with Marotians limited to Wizards, and tribals only sorcerors. Other races may have both traditions.

Q: Are Psionics gonna be part of Torok?

Probably not for players

Q: Does the Morotian civilization still exist as one empire?

I'm debating this one. If I split, then exploration is more important and therefore the truth is harder to contain.

Q: Did the Aliens happen?

No.

Q: Are the two cities built by the players still in existence?

Maybe, haven't thought about it yet.

Q: Are their still a bunch of monsters named after a certin Morotain captain in a derogatory fashion?

Possibly, although they may have both technical and "common" names

Q: Did the colonial guard ever get started by Domanic Mithari?

Maybe.

Q: If I eat the red pill do I get to know what the Change is?

If you find it and eat it then yes.

Q: Can lightweight steam engines be used in the airships to replace the somewhat absurd petal powered propellers? Since the Morotians would not burn wood the airships would be limited to runs between Morotian cities were they could replace coal for the engin, but it would allow for large airship, carrying large cargos, which are able to fly high above the Wild at a height were winds would shove petal powered airships like dust bunnies.

Power source wouldn't necessarily reduce the effect of wind on airships, save that more thrust might allow one to go faster. Even a lightweight boiler would need fuel, water, sealed compartment, etc which would be a great deal of weight. Given that hydrogen is still the gas of choice, fire on airships will remain uncommon. Perhaps large ships will have magically enabled heat sources (hot rocks?) and boilers, but I think the small ones will remain mostly human endeavors.

Morotian socialty reminds me of the british colonies in Indian, small enclaves of hyper civilized Englishmen far from home despiritly going through the motions of being civilized while surround by a alien, resentfull culture and evirement.
I would think that modeling part of the Indian culture for the dwarves would fit into this.
The highest caste would be mystical priesthood dwarves who never even see sunlight in their lives, want to deny whats happening outside, and try to keep the rest of their culture from being exsposed to any form of change for fear that change may come to them.
The 2nd caste would be the clan and craft leaders who also don’t want change because their top dog and any change could topple them, some of these know better then to trust the Morotian claims that thier protecting the dwarves, but go along with it because it supports their power, while a few radical want to do away with the whole lot since the dwarves are supporting them with all too many resources.
The third caste would be the commen workers, most of these fear the outside and belive everything the upper castes tell them for fear of their lives and souls. Since some of these have to go outside at times to deal with Morotians a few will get radical ideas or just plain resent the Morotians and form the secret societies from the old setting.
The forth caste would be the untouchables, Dwarves who are exile from the dwarven cave or whose ancestors were driven out. These are the dwarves who work and live as second class citizens under the Morotians of who live in the mountian above the Morotians in a semi-bandit livestyle.

Yes, that's going to make it take longer, since I'll have to do some conversions.

For now, use this section to make suggestions and comments on the background material and ideas as they unfold. I don't plan to run this until mid-late August.
