players are former storm troopers, officers, bots, researchers, and other imperials who had worked at imperial research base and one it was taken over by the republic has since worked as the crew of a independent salvage crew.
A criminal organization has raided the research base day before it was due to be destroyed to eliminate all working prototypes and research contained in it.
Since the player are already somewhat familiar with the stuff from the base, and not associated with the republic they are hired as the perfect undercover agents to recover or destroy the stuff from the research base under the assumption that they want the stuff for themselves.
Some one wanting to play a good guy or jedi can be the republic overseer for the group, and side missions to salvage things, rescue hostages and such can fill in between tracking down mcguffins.
