On Jan 19, 2014 at 06:50 pm Keith said :- Sorry for the late reply. Time traveling animals could be cool. Look ma, no thumbs !!
On Jan 18, 2014 at 05:51 pm Mick said :- as for games.. I wouldn't mind trying the new game of time travelling animals. Sounds liek it could be a futuristic version of Noah's Mark.
Other ideas, champions would be ok although i usually prefer 4 color but Joes idea could work for a street level Champions game.
On Jan 18, 2014 at 05:47 pm Mick said :- hey look i got a brand new computer with nothing to mar its surface except windows 8 and my old shitty speakers. Now if i can recover lost data from the old hard drive it will be a bonus. I am guessing Tim has been to busy to read his email and I can't rmember his work email. I will be working at recovering data and missing programs for a while, but at least now I can keep track of whats going on.
On Jan 16, 2014 at 06:39 pm Joe said :- anyone else some ideas for steve to work with?
On Jan 15, 2014 at 07:40 am Joe said :- New Bismark was once secretly the site of dozens of secret government underground weird science projects in the bunkers, tunnels, and other underground complexes starting in the 50's.
The government shut down the various projects and the various sites were either abandoned or sold off into private hands.
The town has been in a economic decline since the 70's but remains a large city with a dense population.
While the city has a few scattered super heros it has never had a actual team until the "Event"
themes- urban decay, vast under ground, weird science, uncovering secrets
feel free to add or submit other ideas
On Jan 15, 2014 at 01:05 am Keith said :- Would there be a common theme to powers? Or maybe personality bases like fantastic 4?
On Jan 14, 2014 at 11:34 pm Steve said :- Like all of you were in the same lab (or building) where some strange effect took place and made you supers?
Would that mean there are no other supers or only that you share an origin?
On Jan 14, 2014 at 08:39 pm Joe said :- champions, with some sort of common origin or preset cause
On Jan 14, 2014 at 07:56 pm Steve said :- I'll run on Monday. I could:
run my new game about time-traveling animals
run a new Champions game (4 color)
run a Champions game (more street level, slightly futuristic and dark)
run Sorcery & Super Science
run some other 48 hour rpg
It would be cool if everyone could provide 1 or 2 choices either here or by email by Friday so I can prepare.
On Jan 14, 2014 at 11:47 am Mick said :- Accessing the website from work.. as of Saturday my computer is dead. I am going to email Tim to look at it and see if he can fix it or maybe recover more data than i could. But at this point I am not sure when i would be able to run anything.
On Jan 12, 2014 at 06:52 pm Steve said :- Given the lack of volunteers and various rumors, I made a few calls and the game for tomorrow is off. Sorry.a
On Jan 11, 2014 at 05:37 pm Steve said :- Any volunteers to run on Monday?
On Jan 8, 2014 at 05:12 pm Keith said :- I've got a extension ladder and one of those folding ladders.
On Jan 7, 2014 at 05:09 pm Steve said :- I don't have scaffolding but I do have a tall ladder. Maybe the thing would be to get up there with a battery drill and drill holes in the ice? Another thought might be a dremel.
It's also supposed to be warmer tomorrow, which means salt or other chemical options might work if you can deposit them.
On Jan 7, 2014 at 04:55 pm Lou asked :- does anyon Know a roofer or someone that has scaffolding? my furnace isn't working because the chimney is iced up. the only way to clear it is to get up there with scaffolding or something and chip and blow torch ice off Fhe chimney. obviously not going to be able to do that tonight since it's dark but I need to deal with that tomorrow. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
On Jan 6, 2014 at 01:39 pm Kristie said :- In a very amusing development, the plow came and cleared the dead end, basically in front of our house and the rest of the cul-de-sac, but literally did nothing else on our street at all. We haven't had any cars coming or going. The rest of our street is still a massive mess. We're going to go ahead and call the game because we're both just done pushing cars out and back in.
On Jan 6, 2014 at 10:26 am Steve said :- For the record, despite his take-off area and berm, I still had to push him back into his driveway at about 6:40 am this morning. It took me about 20 minutes to get out of the cul-de-sac. I had used the snowblower to clear part of the street, but his berm was in my take-off zone.
I called the city but got no answer so I sent them an email. Email worked for me last time so I have my fingers crossed. My fear now is that his berm will not be easy to move.
On Jan 6, 2014 at 09:48 am Kristie said :- The stuck neighbor has used his lawnmower plow to plow a great path for himself to get out of his drive and left a berm of snow in the center of the dead end. It's pretty ugly. Steve made it out to go to work but called to tell me it really isn't worth it and to stay put. I thought I heard the plow a while ago but it was just the train. Again.
