Starting at 3rd level if character and copy made before game.
If it ain't acquired during that game or on my copy of your character, you can't do it or use it.
Need all feats and such to have source noted on my copy other then those from the player's handbook.

If there is a conflict between the two systems that comes up in play I generally let it fall to the pathfinder system, but mainly the rules are the same.
