Votu is a small country that covers the western shores of the Straits. After the Great Quake, most of the land in Votu became marsh and swamp. However the more inland you go the more solid it gets.

The population of Votu is mostly on it's shore lines with few towns, villages, or cities inland. The sailors of Votu are the only beings able to sail the M`aximus Straits, and all the ports along the M'aximus Straits are controlled by Votu. Some say even the ports held by kingdoms of chaos have Votu traitors running them.

The Votian's that side with chaos are often slain by the lawful Votain's as soon as they are discovered. They feel that P`inavious gave them a gift and those who side with chaos are spitting in their God's face.

Votain's spend most of thier lives learning the sea and how to survive on it, besides that their life is simple. However, due to their devotain to life at sea, they never have time to study other worldly affairs.
