How the hell did this thing go pandemic? It appears to be a blood born pathogen that is rapidly symptomatic and rapidly fatal. And while the first few walkers would obviously cause surprise it would be quickly contained. The walker would be restrained and any wounded would be hospitalized. The rapid and lethal onset of symptoms would cause isolation and quarantine to be instituted. Patients would be isolated, corpse would be autopsied. Even if they couldn't cure it it would be burn itself out. And healthcare workers and first responders are used to dealing with blood and combative patients who bite.

So if you missed out on the Spell Compendium or the Magic Item Compendium, both are coming back in "deluxe" editions. They are probably cheaper than buying used ones on ebay and they have errata.
Spell Compendium is out already. It's about 35 on coolstuffinc.com. i get 4% more off that (which isn't a ton but beats a stick in the eye. If we order at least 3, we'd get free shipping. If you're interested let me know.
Magic Item Compendium won't be out until mid-July and pricing would be about the same.
