The Hook
What the hell are they doing?
Summary
After a brief discussion, the group decided to finish off the last of the upper level before moving deeper to fight the cultists. In the first room, they encountered a half-dozen skeletons with four arms each. Arric called on the Blessed Attendant and most of them burst into flame and fled before them. Ropp and Bornon made short work of the two remaining skeletons.
As they moved down the hall to find the next room, Bornon heard a strange sound and declared they were being followed. The power of Dalenydra gave him true sight and he took the lead in killing an invisible stalker. A few minutes later, they were missing that true sight when they found a half-dozen more of the four-armed undead who were also invisible. It took a little more effort, but they were killed too.
They found a statue and there was a secret panel in it. They climbed up and were surprised as they were able to climb much further than expected. Bornon reached into his bag of holding for something and the bag was destroyed with its contents disgorged into the room. He threw one of his chairs through the eye of the statue only to lose sight of it as it was tiny after passing through the eye.
Ropp found a trapdoor which turned out to be a giant boulder and they emerged into Elysium where they met the god Lucern. He granted them rest and healing and restored their spells. He also restored Bornon's bag to operation.
They finally made their way to the lower level where they were promptly attacked by a trapper which swallowed Ropp before being put to rest. It's death throes released a number of smaller trappers which flew around trying to land on the heads of the adventurers. It didn't take long before they were killed too.
They went down a passage and found water; when they followed it, they came into a large chamber with a huge red dragon. They contemplated for a moment before deciding against it. As they were leaving, the dragon filled the tunnel with it's fiery breath. Luckily, none of them were in range.
They also found a bunch of storerooms mostly filled with rotting goods and then they finally emerged into a chamber with burning braziers and apparent cultists. There were eight of them. One had cut off his arm which was apparently going to become a tentacle; there were six chanting next to braziers, and the final one appeared to be the leader and was calling orders.
The group overpowered them with some excellent tactics and creative use of magic to trap and isolate them. They were all dead and only Bornon had been significantly harmed.

Bornon:I throw a chair out the window.
GM:There is no chair.
Bornon:I have a chair.
GM:When you open the bag, all the contents are spit out at once and the bag is destroyed.
God:Not all undead are bloodthirsty monsters.
Bornon:No some want skin. Ghouls like spleens, they're tasty. Muttered (That's what I heard).
Bornon:Since I can't think of a cool line, I scream "Telepathy". If I can't be witty, I want to at least be confusing.
Bad Guy:You're messing up everything!
Bornon:That's our goal. We were sent her by a god... and a vampire.
