#14 #14 Beneath the Lost Tomb
The Hook
They keep on dragging me back!
Summary
The group lifted the trap door and looked down the stairs. There was a change as there were candles lit about every 20', but they couldn't see any source of the light. They came down into a room with two doors. One led into a lab with a handful of blast shadows. The creatures were a tough kill and even worse they burst into flames when they died. Arric was hard-pressed to keep the group alive, but they survived long enough to check the next area, which appeared to be set up to practice spellcasting. They then made their way into an area of unworked stone, coming to a four-way intersection.
They headed right and were nearly overcome by the smell; they had come upon a lair of ghasts and ghouls. As the battle raged, they heard a noise behind them as several more ghouls from another room came to join the fight. Luckily, the long passage way left them vulnerable to Alon and his lightning bolt. The battle raged and eventually, the group overcame the evil creatures. They followed the trail of the ghouls back and found they had a second nest; this left only straight ahead to be explored.
They continued to investigate but there were no other creatures they could find. They did find a mausoleum with some rat tunnels with signs of at least one were-rat living there, but none of them felt brave or small enough to pursue it.
They left the tomb and headed back to the town of Westhaven.

Steve : Sorry Ropp, Lou's not here, you're my bitch.
Jim: Where's that slave ring? We'll make him do it.
GM: There's a bunch of ghouls and a ghast; there's a terrible smell.
Joe: Do they catch fire when he channels?
GM: They smolder a bit.
Joe: I bet that smells good too.
