Against the Lich King

#19 #19 Even Wetter

The Hook

The party decides to clear the lost temple of the ancient sea people. Just in case there are more surprises

Prelude

Somewhere sorta dey: ahh our plan worked.
in westHaven: I am getting tired of armies and weird people and monsters in our town

Summary

The group headed back to the sunken temple, hoping to finally lay the monsters within it to rest. They entered and moved quickly through the passages they'd cleared previously -- at least there weren't enough monsters left to repopulate them anymore.

Their first encounter was with a spiny eurpyterid, a giant scorpion beast that nearly broke BAMF in half with its powerful claws and deadly stinger. Luckily the other warriors were nearby and manged to defeat it.

They continued until they again came to a dry area. This time they found a library with a pentagram which held a demon. After some discussion amongst themselves and with her, they decided to leave her there to suffer.

They also found an exceptionally clean room with all the clutter pushed against the walls. They took great care out of fear it was a trap, but it turned out to be only a powerful giant slug.

They passed through several tunnels until they came to one which was up a flight of stairs and had a door saying "the chest is a lie". After some discussion, they decided the door was probably a mimic and approached it carefully. It turned out the stairs where the habitation of a trapper. It closed on Ropp, but quickly released him when he nearly died in one flurry of blows. He apologized for his actions and the group decided to let him live.

They found a temple and in it were some skrags engaged in some disgusting ritual. The service was interrupted as the party attacked and dispatched them with alacrity, looting the temple goods none of which seemed to be of skrag manufacture. Some additional exploration turned up on other monsters and so the party returned to town to lick their wounds.
